Here are the drawings of Claire, after we have juggled her tissues a half dozen times, from which the erasures and the finished products. I loved working with Noro and I finally put one of these two Bertille on sale here. Yes, just one because I do not know why, but tonight I can not bring the second Bertille online, I’ll make another try tomorrow. By the way, very fast in short time, each Bertille like this one, with her jeans and shirt will be sold online. Yes I know, it’s about time, but it is not that easy you know…
rock and roll
12th October 2011
At the end of the roll of linen, there is a label, of course, and there is me, lightly packed by the weight of all the shipments that must be done. It’s not all to do the clever on a booth, then one has to provide. While promoting another production, finishing two prototypes and sometimes wondering why I have not continued to write… Before, when it was raining outside, I was inside, with on my knees my cat, my computer and a cup of hot tea (yes, I know, my knees are super friendly). Instead, now I’m out in the rain, a reel of scotch as a cup of tea in hand and not even a cat to help me. Otherwise, I don’t know if you have noticed, but this roll of linen is beautiful. It comes, it’s funny, from a city in north of France, where I sometimes buy linen to do great slipcases. I will also have to learn more about this weaving annotation “10 points per meter”, perhaps a sign of quality. And then I begin to dream by imagining what I’m going to do with it. Soaked… yes, but happy.

rain of stars
3rd September 2011
I have not completely recover from all these publications in the press since the beginning of September. It’s so weird to read ones name, not at the end of an issue, but in the issue… I warmly thank those who wrote such pretty things on Les Toiles Blanches, I am still dancing. You can see them here, if you like, I know them by heart already. Fortunately, I have to shake myself and get ready for Gaspard’s entrance in first grade and Maison & Objet. This year it is ok, not all at the same time as last year. I will have plenty of time to grieve quietly Monday when I will see my little heart disappear behind the door of his new school and cry of stress the next day, when building my booth.

Bonnie, the béguin
18th August 2011
I like antique linen, this is not a scoop, but I also passionately love tissues, all tissues, beginning with cold wool of men’s coat, tweed, corduroy, cashmere, alpaca… I have stored a lot since I buy for my little brand, some fabrics come from fashion houses that have now disappeared. Houses that were buying mostly from french and italian makers, if I believe in labels. All that to say that I decided to do something with those fabrics. So here’s the Bonnie béguin, it is a cap that covers well the ears of the little ones and which is, for most models, reversible. A very soft cashmere on one side, linen or a soft poplin on the other. I associated tissues according to their colors, their textures, they are now for sale on the site. And because one never changes, there will be a version in antique linen and métis, perfect for special occasions or for the summer.

games
14th August 2011
a whole suitcase full of old games, this is what I found this morning by going to the market. so for lunch, I brought strawberries and radishes over and these beautiful cardboard boxes so beautifully decorated with evocative drawings and fantasy typography much in the style of 50 years. my children have turned around since I have aligned the boxes with relish to better admire them. I think I’ll end up lending them the game of ping-pong. under high surveillance though, because all these games have not only their box intact, but they also have their original mode d’emploi, their pawns, pieces, cards, dice ivory and leather cups. yes, yes, these are games for children, but no sorry, you cannot play with them, eventually later, when you will be grown up… long-drawn sights of the mother and children. it is always difficult to explain to the younger generation, the notion of collector !

playtime is over
12th July 2011
A glimpse of some of the new products shown at Playtime Paris last week : a polar bear, a sleeping bag and a quilt hand embroidered, plus a series of small toys that I will show you very soon. As often in these fairs so rich in emotions, the reaction of my clients gave me ideas and I have worked on another toy just after the show. But for now, I’m going on holiday, direction of Italy ! I wish you all a great summer.

works of patches
8th June 2011
I recently found two like those, handmade patchworks with amazing fabrics, as nice upside than outside I think they have been made in the 70’s according to the objects found with them. For the moment they are somewhere in a fashion magazine for a shooting, so chic ! But as soon as they will be back home, I will look for them the place they deserve in the shop.

back
6th June 2011
I like these two photos, Alphonse in a very limited edition and these short pants that are so perfect. I must try them on Augustin. Otherwise, there is some work to do, the Playtime exhibition catalog to make with the pictures of the latest prototypes (that is TOMORROW dammit !!!!), the winter production to check and correct as often (I am running out of big bags packaging, argh), a new soft toy that resists me, new clothes Bertille to finish in collaboration with… it’s still off, can’t tell you. Not to mention an avalanche of paperwork that sleeps in a workbook and two dozen of urgent emails to send. Routine, as always.
